We have robust health and safety practices and procedures for our workforce and supply chain, supported by our senior management team with advice from our full time safety team.
Safety objectives and targets are established and reviewed on a regular basis and include:
- Setting annual targets towards a zero accident rate
- Identifying, assessing & learning from incidents & applying procedures to help avoid any repeat
- Ensuring training & update courses are available for all employees
including collating suitable records. Further specialist training will apply depending on job description
- Effective communication between senior management and employees to include site inspections, monthly safety meetings and update courses.
Integrated Management System
Piper Joinery operates an Integrated Management System (IMS) which complies with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and BS OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety). We are working towards certification of our IMS by a recognised accreditation company, having gained approval by a leading integration company.
